Black in the Day is a submission based photo archive co-founded by Tania Nwachukwu and Jojo Sonubi which documents the lives and experiences of Black people in the UK over the decades.
Since its launch in June 2016, the archive has been shown at Sheffield’s Site Gallery, V&A Museum, ICA and Tate Britain.
Through these crowd sourced images, Black in the Day aims to improve the visibility of Black people in Britain’s history, moving them from the margins to the centre.
