Annie Bell began her career as a chef before becoming a full-time cookery writer and author. Her books include Annie Bell’s Vegetable Book, Evergreen (short-listed for the Andre Simon and Glenfiddich Food Writing awards), Living and Eating, In My Kitchen, The Camping Cookbook, The Picnic Cookbook, Annie Bell’s Baking Bible, More Taste Than Time, Low Carb Revolution: Comfort Eating for Good Health, Plant Power, Eat To Save The Planet and Soup Glorious Soup. Her latest book, The Camping Cookbook was published by Kyle Books in July 2021.

Annie is also the author of the Gorgeous series, which includes Gorgeous Cakes, Gorgeous Desserts, Gorgeous Suppers, Gorgeous Greens and Gorgeous Christmas.

She spent several years as a cookery writer for Vogue, then as a food writer on the Independent. She is currently principal cookery writer on the Mail on Sunday’s You Magazine, and is a contributor to Country Living and Waitrose Food Illustrated. She was the winner of the Guild of Food Writers Journalist of the Year in 2003.
