Andrew Gimson
Andrew Gimson is a political journalist and writer. He is the author of an acclaimed biography of Boris Johnson, the first such study, which has now been updated several times; and for many years contributed the parliamentary sketch and other commentary for the Daily Telegraph.
Andrew is also the author of a history of British monarchs, Gimson’s Kings & Queens, illustrated by Martin Rowson and published by Square Peg / Random House. Gimson’s Prime Ministers, again illustrated by Martin Rowson, was published in March 2018; and the trilogy was completed in spring 2020 with the publication of Gimson’s Presidents.
His biography of Boris Johnson as Prime Minister was published by Simon & Schuster in autumn 2022, and was the first book to cover the whole Johnson premiership.
