Bruce has been at David Higham Associates since the 1960s: his first job and he’s still there, so it must be a good place to work. He especially likes serious fiction, thrillers, history and biography, and has learned a lot from the popular science books he has handled. He is proud to have represented eleven David Higham clients whose books have been shortlisted for the Booker Prize, and six who have won it. He is equally proud of his authors who have been shortlisted for – and some who have won – the Orange Prize, the Whitbread and the NCR, as well as many foreign prizes including two who have won the Nobel Prize for Literature.
